Kenny Glasgow, a pioneer in North American electronic music, has had an influential career spanning over two decades.
Initially building a loyal following in Toronto during the early nineties, he gained fame as part of the duo Art Department. Returning to his solo roots, Glasgow is celebrated for his distinctive vocals and ability to captivate audiences.

Saturday’s all-day party features international and local DJs, including a kids’ dance party from 2 to 4 PM. Last year, Mark Farina and Fred Everything created an unforgettable atmosphere. While this year’s lineup details are still secret, expect another exceptional event. Stay tuned for more updates on what promises to be a thrilling celebration of music and unity.

Groovin’ in The Park is a free two-day festival at Toronto’s Woodbine Park, featuring soul, funk, world, and house music as part of the Beaches International Jazz Festival. The family-friendly event offers food, a beer garden, and shaded seating. Past performers include Mark Farina, DJ Spinna, and Tortured Soul, showcasing Toronto’s rich dance community. Enjoy a dynamic mix of live music in the scenic setting of Woodbine Park.

Take 22 Coxwell Bus from Coxwell Subway Station
Take the 501 Queen Street Streetcar east from Queen or Osgoode Subway Stations

Take the 401 to Don Valley Parkkway South, exit at Lakeshore Boulevard East
Travel along Lakeshore Boulevard East until you reach Coxwell Avenue
Turn left (north) on Coxwell Avenue
Turn right on Queen Street East

 

Driving from the West:

Take the QEW Toronto to the Gardiner Expressway and take Exit 155 for Jarvis Street
Drive to Lake Shore Blvd E

Travel along Lakeshore Boulevard East until you reach Coxwell Avenue
Turn left (north) on Coxwell Avenue
Turn right on Queen Street East

 

PARKING

Metered parking is available throughout the Beach area along its main arteries. Several Toronto Parking Authority lots are also scattered throughout the area.
