With Eddie and Quincy Bullen
This is a concert presentation, rare chance to see Eddie and Quincy Bullen present their Dueling Pianos (Father and Son) show for FREE! NOT TO BE MISSED.
As this is the 30th Anniversary of the Beaches International Jazz Festival so we thought it fitting to present a special free concert and talk from Toronto’s own Eddie and Quincy Bullen. Eddie and his son Quincy have been touring this show across Canada and the Caribbean over the last 3 years. This is a wonderful presentation of some of the most beloved music arranged for two pianos. During the show they share poignant stories of their relationship and what it is like to be in a musical family. There will be time for Q&A.
Eddie Bullen (the father) is a Juno-award winning producer, pianist, composer and arranger. He immigrated to Canada from his native Grenada in the 1970s. He is the son of a musician who not only passed on to his son a deep love and knowledge of music and musicians, but also ensured that he was skilled at taking apart and reassembling every kind of musical instrument. www.eddiebullen.com
Quincy Bullen (the son) is an accomplished pianist, composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist (drums, bass, guitar, keys) and singer. His repertoire includes his own version of popular standards from jazz, R&B and soul as well as his original compositions. He has been a featured performer at music festivals and venues in Canada and the Caribbean. www.quincybullen.com
